Dr. McDevitt started her nursing career in 2006 with an associate degree from Iowa Lakes Community College. While working on an inpatient hospital unit she completed in Bachelor of Science in 2009 from Grand Canyon University. She worked as an RN in an outpatient gynecology clinic for seven years. During that time, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on education and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice with an emphasis in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Arizona State University in 2016.
She has always had a passion for Women’s Health. Her doctoral project had an emphasis on female sexual dysfunction. She continues to seek continuing education in female sexual dysfunction, as it is an important aspect to women’s health. She also has a passion for menopause. Currently she is studying to take the menopause certification test offered by the North American Menopause Society.
Dr. McDevitt grew up in the East Valley. She and her husband of sixteen years have two children and a dog. She enjoys traveling and photography.
Dr. McDevitt said she joined Sun Life Health because “She enjoys serving the community.”
She offers contraceptive counseling and family planning. She performs Nexplanon and intrauterine device (IUD) insertion and removals. As well as family planning she also offers pregnancy care.
