Dr. Herried grew up in Wisconsin and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, majoring in Biomedical Sciences. Following graduation, she moved to Arizona to escape winter and worked as a medical scribe while applying for medical school. She begrudgingly left Arizona and enrolled in Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee. During this period, she also obtained her Master’s in Business Administration and volunteered with two health organizations that provided medical services to those who were un- or under-insured — finding her passion for OB/GYN in the process.
She is a fierce advocate for reproductive rights and empowering patients through education. Her OB/GYN residency training was completed at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she delivered over 500 babies and participated in over 1000 surgeries. Ultimately, her goal of returning to Arizona for practice was fulfilled when she began with Sun Life Health in 2022. Her husband, Adam, and son, Maverick, are equally thrilled to settle here and enjoy golfing, hiking with their Great Dane, trying new restaurants, and exploring the region.
