Kate received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of North Georgia. She worked as a registered nurse for seven years in three different states and completed a nurse residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Arizona State University. In addition to her skills, Kate can provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and HIV Care. 

Kate grew up on her family’s farm in rural Georgia and moved to Nashville after nursing school, where she met her husband. She enjoys travel and has served abroad as a medical volunteer, learning about cross-cultural healthcare in the Philippines and Costa Rica. She and her husband now live in Casa Grande, with their two dogs and cat.
