Mike is the youngest of five brothers in a service-oriented family full of nurses and military veterans from Montana, USA. He has resided in Arizona since 1990. Inspired by his parents before him, he first made his entrance into healthcare in his early 20s.

In 2015 a nurse peer charmed him, and in 2018 they married. The two enjoy a variety of arts, outdoor, and travel activities together as frequently as possible. His hobbies include Open Water SCUBA Diving, Kayaking, and Fiction reading and writing.
