Matthew Datlow was welcomed into the Sun Life Health family in June of 2023.  In addition to Matthew, he answers to Matt or Datlow.  Matthew is a board-certified Physician Associate with 5 years of experience who is thrilled to be helping the underserved population and their families to live a happier, healthier life.

Matthew completed his undergraduate education at UCLA in Los Angeles, California earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After gaining superlative and unparalleled life experience in the US Army, he went on to earn his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Penn State School of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Matthew is a proud US Army Special Operations Veteran who did four tours of duty in Afghanistan with 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment leading his Ranger Brothers in combat before being Honorably discharged in order to pursue his medical career.

Due to Matthew’s unique journey through life, he can bring more than just book smarts to the table when caring for his patients.  It’s with this background, combined with his extensive professional knowledge and experience in emergency medicine, ENT, oncology, wound care, dermatology, and primary care that he can be a true asset to the already amazing Sun Life team.

Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys mountain biking, precision rifle shooting, hiking, writing, photography, playing his guitar and spending time with his wife and son.
